CLIQ — Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the CLIQ mobile application and related services (collectively, “CLIQ”, “we”, “our”, “the App”). Please read these Terms carefully before using CLIQ.
By creating an account or using the App, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and all additional policies referenced herein. If you do not agree, do not use CLIQ.

CLIQ community app built around real-world communities, to connect directly with highly engaged audiences, both online and in person.
CLIQ provides a platform for users to connect with others, join clubs and communities, and participate in events hosted by community organisers (“Admins” or “Organisers”).
2. Eligibility and Account Requirements
2.1 Age Requirement
You must be 17+ years or older to create an account and use CLIQ.
By registering, you confirm that:
- You are at least 17 years old;
- You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement;
- You are legally permitted to use the App in your country.
2.2 Mandatory Profile Photo Requirement
To promote user safety and authenticity:
- All users must upload a clear photo of their unobstructed face.
- Profiles will remain blocked and inaccessible until a valid photo is uploaded.
- Images are reviewed by our Safety & Privacy Team to ensure compliance with community standards.
- CLIQ may request additional verification where needed.
We may suspend or remove accounts that fail to meet identification requirements.
2.3 Account Registration
To create an account, you must provide accurate information, including your:
- First name
- Date of birth
- Log in via Facebook, Apple, or Google.
If you use a third-party login, you authorise CLIQ to access certain information from those accounts (e.g., profile picture, basic profile data), as described in our Privacy Policy.
You agree to maintain updated and accurate account information at all times.
3. Content on CLIQ
3.1 Types of Content
CLIQ contains three types of content:
- Your Content – anything you upload or submit.
- Member Content – content posted by other users.
- Our Content – materials owned or provided by CLIQ, such as branding, text, software, and design assets.
You retain ownership of Your Content but grant CLIQ a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, host, and use it for App functionality.
3.2 Prohibited Content
You must not upload content that:
- Contains hate speech, harassment, discrimination, or bullying
- Is pornographic, obscene, or sexually explicit
- Promotes violence or illegal activity
- Defames or impersonates another person
- Includes minors in any harmful or inappropriate context
- Contains malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Is misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive
- Is commercial, promotional, or advertising without approval
- Violates privacy, IP, or other legal rights
- Involves non-consensual images or data
CLIQ may remove content and take enforcement action at our sole discretion.
4. Use of CLIQ
Users must comply with all applicable laws, including privacy, IP, anti-spam, and safety legislation.
You may not:
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliations
- Harass, bully, or abuse others
- Scrape or collect data from the App
- Use bots, scrapers, scripts, crawlers, or automation tools
- Engage in fraud, pyramid schemes, or deceptive practices
- Share information you do not have permission to disclose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or damage the App
- Circumvent safety or verification measures
Failure to comply may result in suspension, removal, or legal action.
5. Clubs, Communities & Events
CLIQ enables Admins to create clubs, communities, and events.
5.1 Event Participation
- When you request to join a club or event, the Admin has full discretion to approve or deny the request.
- Admins may require additional verification.
- CLIQ cannot guarantee participation or availability for any club or event.
5.2 Event Liability — Important Disclaimer
CLIQ does not organise, control, or oversee events unless stated a specific CLIQ event.
Events listed on the platform are hosted by independent community Admins or Organisers. By attending an event, you acknowledge and agree that:
- The organiser is solely responsible for the event.
- CLIQ is not liable for:
- injuries, accidents, or harm
- actions or misconduct of other attendees
- organiser negligence or improper behaviour
- cancellations, schedule changes, or venue issues
- Any refunds, compensation, or disputes relating to an event are strictly between you and the organiser.
5.3 Conduct at Events
You agree to:
- Treat others with respect
- Follow all local laws and event rules
- Avoid harmful, dangerous, or fraudulent behaviour
- Not intimidate, humiliate, threaten, or endanger others
CLIQ or an Admin may cancel, change, or limit access to events if necessary.
6. Paid Events, Subscriptions & Payments
For paid Events and Clubs, admins can sell tickets and memberships through CLIQ via Stripe payment process platform. If an admin needs to change or cancel a confirmed event, they must do so with timely notice to the participant, except for weather, safety, or force majeure reasons. CLIQ does not take any responsibility for any payments taken by third party payment processes.
Fees associated with Stripe and CLIQ platform for tickets priced at £9.99 and under, Stripe fees will be 1.5% + £0.20. CLIQ fees include a booking fee of £0.39. In total, the fees will be 1.5% + £0.59. For tickets priced at £10 and above, Stripe fees will be 1.5% + £0.20. CLIQ fees will be 3.5% + £0.89, including a booking fee of £0.89. In total, the fees will be 5% + £1.09.
Payments will be undertaken through Stripe into the event organisers bank account which will be set up when setting up the first event on CLIQ. Payments from tickets minus the commission will be made weekly.
6.1 Subscription Features
- Admins may offer paid membership subscriptions to their communities.
- CLIQ charges Admins a 10% platform fee on all subscription payments.
6.2 Payment Processing (Stripe)
- All payments are handled exclusively by Stripe, a third-party payment processor.
- CLIQ does not handle, store, or process payment card details.
- Stripe’s terms and policies apply to all transactions.
6.3 Refunds for Events or Subscriptions
- Event refunds are solely the responsibility of the organiser.
- Subscription refunds (if applicable) are subject to each Admin’s policy.
- CLIQ is not responsible for chargebacks, disputes, or financial losses.
7. Enforcement, Suspension & Account Termination
CLIQ may suspend or terminate accounts for:
- serious or repeated violations of these Terms
- illegal activity
- safety risks or harassment
- fraudulent behaviour
- unverified or misleading identity
- inactivity for extended periods
- suspected compromised accounts
- legal obligations or law enforcement requests
We may notify you unless doing so risks user safety or violates legal restrictions.
Suspension or termination may include:
- removal of content
- loss of access to the App
- cancellation of memberships/events with no refunds
- disclosure to law enforcement where required
Some obligations survive account closure (e.g., liability limitations, dispute resolution).
8. Data Retention & Account Deletion
- Personal data is deleted or anonymised upon account deletion except where retention is required for:
- financial and transaction records
- fraud or safety investigations
- compliance with applicable laws (e.g., UK financial record retention requirements)
- resolving disputes
Event ticket purchase records may be retained for legally mandated periods.
9. Business Partnerships & Advertising
You acknowledge and agree that CLIQ may:
- display advertising
- host sponsored content or sponsored events
- run brand partnerships or collaborations
These may appear in the App or in related communications.
10. Intellectual Property
All CLIQ branding, logos, software, and content provided by the platform remain the property of The CLIQ App Ltd. Users may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App.
Users retain rights to their own content but grant CLIQ a licence to use it for platform operations.
11. Dispute Resolution (Binding Arbitration)
11.1 Arbitration Agreement
Except where prohibited by law, you agree that any dispute with CLIQ will first be resolved through binding arbitration, not through court litigation.
11.2 Exceptions
You may pursue claims:
- in small claims courts where applicable
- where arbitration agreements are legally void or restricted
- involving regulatory or statutory rights that cannot be waived
11.3 Governing Law
The governing law depends on your location:
- UK users → UK law
- Australian users → Australian law
- US users → the laws of your state and applicable federal law
Arbitration will follow the applicable jurisdiction’s procedures.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- CLIQ does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
- CLIQ is not liable for user behaviour, organiser actions, or event-related incidents.
- CLIQ is not responsible for loss, damage, or injury arising from:
- user interactions
- event attendance
- content posted by users
- payment disputes
- technical failures or outages
- third-party service issues (e.g., Stripe)
Your use of CLIQ is at your own risk.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
CLIQ is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties regarding:
- accuracy
- availability
- reliability
- safety of events
- conduct of users or organisers
You acknowledge that content may be inaccurate, outdated, or posted by users for whom we are not responsible.
14. Changes to Terms
CLIQ may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes may be communicated via email, in-app notice, or the website.
Your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
